Privacy Policy

Subtrack is a free subscription tracking tool. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in plain English.

What we collect

• Google account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google. We use this to identify your account.
• Subscriptions you enter — service names, amounts, billing cycles, renewal dates, and cancellation status. You enter this manually; we never read your bank statements or credit card history.
• App preferences — settings like whether you've completed the onboarding tutorial.

What we don't collect

• We never access your bank accounts, credit cards, or any financial institution.
• We don't use advertising trackers or sell your data — ever.
• We don't collect your location, contacts, or anything beyond what's listed above.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud servers in the United States. Firebase is GDPR-compliant. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.

Local storage

Subtrack uses your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in between visits and to remember dismissed notices. This is strictly necessary for the app to function — no advertising or tracking data is stored locally.

Third parties

We use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, and Stripe for optional tip-jar payments. Neither receives your subscription data. We don't share your data with any other third parties.

Your rights

• Access — all your data is visible directly in the app.
• Deletion — open Settings and tap "Delete account." This immediately and permanently removes all your subscriptions, preferences, and Google account link from Subtrack's servers.
• Portability — your subscription data is yours. Email us and we'll send you a full export.
• GDPR / CCPA — if you're in the EU or California, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. We don't sell personal information.

Children

Subtrack is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
